          • Make sure you are considering precip and not just rainfall. It's January, wet, and says maybe water!

            • Consider adding more than just rainfall measured at weather stations.

              For example additional factors influencing whether or not a lawn needs watering might include: dewpoint, relative humidity, amount (intensity of sunshine), etc. Our weather station is 5 kms away - it did not "officially" rain there in the last week. But it has rained at our property most nights this last week and the lawn is not in need of additional watering at this time. Thanks.

                Promising but do you have enough data?
                None of my addresses worked (from Washington DC, Nairobi and Cairo).

                Given the open source spirit, it would be cool if you were transparent about the origin and coverage of your data.
